PACIDA, in partnership with the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, has been working to improve water security for mobile pastoralist communities in Qatamur village, Maikona Ward, Marsabit County, through the project “Integrated Response and Resilience Building for Drought-Affected Communities in Marsabit County, Kenya.”
As part of the initiative, water trucking services were provided to ensure reliable access to safe water for households severely impacted by drought. Additionally, the project supplied two 5,000-litre water tanks to bolster community water storage, promote water conservation practices, and assist vulnerable members of the community during dry periods.
