PACIDA joined RANGE consortium partners and representatives from the County Governments of Marsabit, Isiolo, and Samburu for the official launch of the RANGE Crisis Modifier Mechanism at Sagante/Jaldesa, Marsabit County.
The launch brought together key stakeholders committed to strengthening anticipatory action, preparedness, and community resilience in the face of anticipated climate-related shocks.
Speakers at the launch emphasized the importance of coordinated, locally led, and market-led approaches that enable communities to prepare for and respond to emerging risks before they escalate into crises. The RANGE Crisis Modifier Coordinator underscored the core message: Anticipate, Act and Protect — using early warning information to trigger timely interventions that safeguard lives, livelihoods, and community assets.
